Stokes Rousseau was engaged to deliver comprehensive restoration works at the iconic Mission to Seafarers building in Melbourne.

This important heritage site required a sensitive approach to repair and conservation, with works spanning structural, aesthetic, and services upgrades.

The project included substantial façade render repairs, structural works to the dome, chimney, archways, and flag tower, as well as roof and window joinery repairs. Internally, works involved the replacement of footings and flooring systems, electrical upgrades, plastering, and painting. Conservation efforts extended to the building’s celebrated stained glass windows, preserving their historical and cultural significance for future generations.
