Melton Court

House Café

The Project Details

The Shire of Melton

Coleman Architects

Stokes Rousseau was engaged to transform the former Melton Courthouse — built in 1892 — into a contemporary café and hospitality venue.

The project involved a full internal refurbishment to adapt the historic building for modern use while preserving its architectural character.

Key works included the installation of a commercial kitchen, upgrades to essential services, and carefully integrated external landscaping. The result is a thoughtfully repurposed heritage asset that blends history with functionality, breathing new life into a civic landmark for the local community.
