Albert Park College - Mezzanine Works

The Project Details

Victorian School Building Authority

Six Degrees Architects

Stokes Rousseau was engaged to transform an existing roof space into a purpose-built media centre and staff room for a busy school campus.

Designed to accommodate up to 50 students, the new space required significant structural intervention to achieve both functionality and architectural integration.

The build included the installation of bored piers, mass concrete footings, and large structural steel beams to support a new mezzanine floor. The result is a striking floating structure that sits seamlessly within the existing building envelope — delivering a contemporary learning environment without compromising the integrity of the original space.
