Stokes Rousseau was engaged to construct three external classrooms — referred to as ‘pavilions’ or ‘pods’ — at a Federation-era school.
The new learning spaces were thoughtfully positioned around the perimeter of the existing school, with sensitivity to both the heritage context and student experience.
Each pavilion was connected to the main school building via a large elevated walkway, creating a cohesive and accessible link between old and new. The surrounding landscaped gardens and study nooks were designed to encourage outdoor learning, reflection, and connection — enriching the educational environment both functionally and aesthetically.
